This covers some golf courses that are a little farther drive from the tourist area around Disney World. While they are not really Orlando golf courses, most are a short distance from the tourist area and are decent golf courses worth the short drive.

Davenport Golf Courses

Highlands Reserve Golf Club

This course grew on me as we played it. It’s a rolling hills links style course.

Providence Golf Club

This course is a short drive from ChampionsGate Golf Resort. If you’ve played both ChampionsGate courses and are looking for another course to play, it’s an easy drive without getting on I-4 and dealing with the Disney traffic. This is a really nice course and if you’re staying near Championsgate, I would recommend you try this course.

Stonegate has 2 golf courses. It’s a 20+ minute drive south of US 192.
