South Orlando Golf
This page covers golf courses in the south of the Orlando area. This does not include the recommended courses on the home page. These courses are less than a 30-minute drive from Disney World. If you’re visiting and looking for some alternatives, beyond the courses at or next to Disney World, these are some good choices.
Orange County National
Orange County National has 2 18 hole golf courses and 1 executive course. The practice facilities are excellent, one of the best in Central Florida.
There is also a lodge at the facility. As I live here, I’ve never stayed in the lodge, but it’s good for a golf getaway weekend. The clubhouse has a good selection of draft beers and pretty good food, for lunch after your round.
Crooked Cat Golf Course at Orange County National
Personally, I consider Crooked Cat to be the more difficult of the 2 18 hole courses. I generally score 6 to 10 strokes higher on this course over Panther Lake.

Celebration Golf Course is a nice neighborhood course, just down the street from Disney World.
Mystic Dunes Golf Club
Lots and lots of sand. Nice challenging golf course.
Ritz Carlton Grand Lakes
It’s been a couple of years since we’ve played Grand Lakes Golf course.
Orange Lake Golf Resort
There are 2 18 hole courses and 2 9 hole courses. The 2 18 hole courses are Legends and Reserve courses. I’ve played Legends many times. I really don’t remember playing the Reserve course. Time to get out there and play it.
I don’t generally play 9 hole courses. In this case, for me, it’s a 50-minute drive and I am not going to drive that far for a 9 hole course. If you are staying at the resort and have time, I’m sure they are worth a play.
